My name is Paul Dailey and I came across your website during an exploration of my family history. I have actually visited the website several times, and listen to Clonmellon Community Radio quite a bit! I noticed there was a "Looking for My Ancestors" page with directions to email you regarding the details.
My family has kept careful records of our genealogy and I know that my great-great-great grandfather was James Dailey, born in 1794 in Clonmellon. In fact, I was able to find a record of his baptism in the Diocese of Meath. He is the oldest ancestor that my family knows about, and I would love to learn more about our background in Clonmellon and Ireland before James Dailey came to America through Maine and ultimately settled in Osceola, New York.
